DETROIT— For Cocktail Week 2013 Eater Detroit asked bartenders from all over the city and Metro Detroit about their favorite underrated or under-appreciated bars, the kind of places they go on their off nights. The chosen venues vary widely from dive bars to the city's finest establishments, but they all have one thing in common: bartenders who love them. The result is the Cocktail Confidential Map.
RIVERTOWN WAREHOUSE DISTRICT— Cocktail Week 2013's Meet A Bartender feature is where we get to know just a little bit about the stellar people who mix our drinks, toast to our good news, offer friendly advice, and sometimes dry our tears (with a good stiff drink). Among those featured is a Detroit bartending legend, Mr. Farouk Elhaje of The Rattlesnake Club.
MIDTOWN— The highly anticipated opening of La Feria has finally arrived. They had a soft opening with lunch only on Thursday October 31st and continuing through Saturday November 2nd, with regular hours starting on Monday, November 4th. Pictures of the opening will be on Eater later this afternoon.
