Fernando Palazuelo Wires $40K Packard Plant Deposit

New, 3 comments

Fernando Palazuelo is the Packard Plant's latest suitor, and he's already proving himself to be more reliable than The Hults. Without missing a single deadline, the Peruvian developer wired a $40K deposit to Wayne County on Monday. Wayne County, stunned that someone actually paid it for something, messed everything up and voided the transaction. "Understanding international wire transfers involve a time consuming process," Wayne County Treasurer Ray Wojtowicz told the Detroit News.
But they've got it now, and Fernando has been given the deadline of December 18 to pay the remaining balance of the $405K purchase price. Perhaps he should make that payment with an envelope of cash? We assume that's a transaction Wayne County would be far more familiar with.
