Detroit's under-construction Globe Building placed a flag at the tippy top around 4:45 pm yesterday, according to a helpful tipster. Victory? Victory! America. To recap, the super-large warehouse building has been getting torn apart for the last few months so that it can be reborn as "Michigan Department of Natural Resources adventure and discovery center." Also known as the "Detroit Dry Docks Engine Works" building, it is a whopping 50,000 square feet, which should make for a lot of discovery. Right now it mostly looks like the skeleton of a beached whale, not that the river has those.
