Here's an incredible lego model of the Fisher Building, Detroit's lonely skyscraper in New Center. The 300-pound model is the creation of James Garrett, who specializes in building models of Detroit's pre-war architecture. This one is made up of over 120,000 individual pieces, requiring over 300 hours to assemble. You'll find the mini-Fisher inside the real Fisher Building, where it's on display at Pure Detroit. There's something pleasantly weird about going through the Fisher's magnificent lobby before seeing the whole thing miniaturized a few moments later.
