The Atlantic recently analyzed the findings from 7.2 SQ MI, a new survey of those living in Greater Downtown Detroit. While finding those living downtown tend to be younger and wealthier than residents of the outer neighborhoods, the population and density stats of Detroit's urban core compare favorably to Midwestern cities like Cleveland and Pittsburgh.
