Gilbert Stalls on Hudson's Site Due to Design Competition

The state has awarded Dan Gilbert a bit more time to build something on the site of the former Hudson's building. Gilbert owns the development rights, and is claiming the delay is due to an "international design competition" related to the property, so it's probably safe to assume he's not interested in the concept renderings drawn up by Kraemer Design Group years ago. The property's prickly appearance is due to the four-story underground parking garage already in place, on top of which Gilbert wants to build a mixed-use development including retail and "loft style" apartments.
