A Critical Pricechop On Our Favorite Canal Front Estate

New, 5 comments

One of our favorite properties is still waiting for a lucky buyer. Apparently, the market for $600K canal-front carriage houses isn't that strong in Detroit, so this one just got a $150K haircut. That gives all of us another chance to feast eyes on this six-bedroom carriage house in the Barry Subdivision. Built in 1898 but remodeled in 2006, this one has three stories and two full kitchens, all adorned with exposed wooden beams and brick. A balcony overlooking the canal looks like a great warm weather asset, or just head down to the landscaped patio for a closer look at the water. As an added bonus, this house comes with enough canal space to dock an 40' yacht.
