According to Model D, watch and bicycle company Shinola is finally coming to Midtown with a dedicated retail store, set to open this June in Willy's Overland Lofts. In case you've managed to avoid the hurricane of positive media coverage they've managed to curate, Shinola has all the trappings of a likable company—a fierce loyalty to the city, a penchant for sponsoring all the right events, and that uncommon ability to design office space that's undeniably cool without looking like they're trying too hard. That's the tone for the new retail space, as it's already been described to Model D as a place you might "shop in, hang out and ultimately spend time in."
