The Auburn Loses an Ice Cream Shop But Gains a Gallery

New, 35 comments

After a long period of Auburn-free news, we finally have word of activity within those dark commercial storefronts: The Butcher's Daughter will take over the space formerly slated to house ice cream shop Treat Dreams, Model D reports. It's unclear what caused Treat Dreams to bail, but the Butcher's Daughter is a high quality (though inedible) replacement. Owner Monica Bowman announced late last month that the gallery was Detroit-bound after four years of operating in Ferndale. She anticipates opening sometime this coming May.
