Own the Famous Squatter House, Now Asking Just $19K

New, 6 comments

Here is your chance to own a piece of Detroit history on the cheap! Once listed at $35K, this 1909 beauty has dropped all the way down to just $19K. The house is famous for its role in 2012's favorite local news story, which involved the homeowner rooming with an unwanted squatter who refused to leave. The owner has been trying to offload the property ever since, resulting in one of our favorite crazy-person Detroit rants of all time. Last we heard, the home's abundance of lead paint had the owner living entirely in the "attic ballroom." Insanities aside, the house is still a gorgeous 4,400 square feet in Boston-Edison.
