Contrary to what many assume, Belle Isle is not Detroit's largest park. That title goes to Rouge Park's 1,184 acres, a park space so vast that few seem to know what's in it. Friends of Rouge Park hopes to add improved signage that can direct people towards otherwise forgotten amenities, including an archery range, mountain bike trail, and a tallgrass prairie.
