Here's an idea: When demolishing blighted homes, why don't we just shear off whatever is above ground and bury the rest? Sure, it might leave vast swaths of Detroit as unusable debris landfills, but it's slightly cheaper and "bringing these structures down is the most important thing." That's what the State of Michigan thinks, at least. [Det News]
