SEMCOG will vote this afternoon on the ridiculous, $2.65 Billion project to widen I-94 and I-75. The projects are expected to be approved, with SEMCOG executive director Paul Tait justifying his pro-freeway stance with the concern that the federal funding might be used in another state should Michigan turn it down. The vote is set to happen at 4:30PM at the Atheneum in Greektown. Public comment will be allowed before the vote. [Det News]
