"Out of Order" signs have been stuck on 80-90 parking paystations across Midtown and Downtown for weeks. It's actually been quite nice. Some investigative work by Fox 2 has discovered why: The specialized batteries powering the paystations have collectively died. Of course, no one planned for this, and the city could lose up to $160,000 in parking revenues by the time new batteries are delivered. Can Detroit use someone's Amazon Prime account? [Fox]
