The Greektown Casino Hotel has generally positive reviews, but this one is not that. The guest gets lost in the "labyrinth" hotel looking for the pool ("I know I smelt chlorine..."), but the nail in the coffin is the perfectly Detroit experience of being woken up early by the construction of a parking garage: "We were awoken VERY early in the morning by the sound of metal crashing, trucks beeping, diesel engines, and other various noises you would expect to hear while a new parking garage FOR Greektown Casino and Hotel was being built... right outside our window. Double unlucky for us that they were still DEMOLISHING whatever structure it was that had previously existed on this plot. Lovely, indeed."
