WEST VILLAGE — Long-delayed but soon-to-open restaurant Detroit Vegan Soul made strong indications as to their pending opening with a hiring notice earlier this week. Applications for a few front and back of house positions at the West Village storefront are live, and the July 17 deadline gives reason to think that they'll open by early August at the latest.

DOWNTOWN The weeklong reign of celebrity chef Anthony Bourdain seems to be on the way out.
