Fourteen Brightmoor Blocks Saved From Blight and Brush

New, 28 comments

Detroit Urbex captured these before/after shots in Brightmoor, the NW Detroit neighborhood cleaned up by the Detroit Blight Authority (DBA) in July. The DBA takes credit for removing about 70 total structures from 14 blocks, though what's most striking about this photo (and photos from their first blight clearance near Eastern Market) is how much vegetation is being removed. These photos come from Chapel Street just north of Lyndon, which can be explored in its pre-cleanup state on Google StreetView right here.
