Auction Registration Has Begun: What To Know About Round 1

Yesterday was the first day that would-be buyers could register for the Wayne County tax auction, which puts tax foreclosed properties up for public sale. Registration will close on September 13. Will the property you want actually be in the auction? Who knows. One of the crazy things about the process is that Wayne County can pull anything off the list right before the auction, or even during it. So if you are determined to buy something this year, you might want some back up properties. The actual bidding will start September 5 and close between September 23 and 26 (it closes in batches of properties, not all at once).
