The downtown hotel race continues: The Holiday Inn Express and Suites in Downtown Detroit was bought out by a new group of investors, and guess what they're planning? Renovations, of course. The hotel recently enjoyed $2M in renovations at the hands of its previous owners, but those were demanded by Holiday Inn HQ in order to bring the 45-year-old building up to company standards. These new guys think they can do better, though they're not revealing their plan quite yet. We'd suggest starting with the bedbugs, a complaint this hotel sees more often than it should.
