Something stirs in Peterboro Plaza's retail space. In just the last couple of months, a small slice of the building's ground floor frontage has been walled off and boarded up. It has all the appearances of new construction, an assessment that employees at the Coney Island next door seemed to agree with. Why should you care? The Midtown Professional Building, of course! The new office building is slated to break ground this month, meaning two things: 1) We'll have something to rant about once Woodward Gardens finishes up, and 2) This stretch of Woodward (south of MLK, sandwiched between Midtown's core and the future Arena District) may finally be starting to fill out with smaller, more pedestrian-friendly tenants .
