The Slow-But-Steady Revival of Palmer Park Continues

New, 31 comments

Since 2007, fourteen of Palmer Park's stunning apartment buildings have fallen into the hands of Shelborne Development, the company with a hunger for renovation and an unbelievable knack for acquiring tax credits galore. Their current roster in Palmer Park includes buildings like La Vogue, Coronado, Madrid Court, El Dorado, Alwyne Lane, Sarasota, Merton Manor, Whitmore Plaza, and Palmer Lodge. They're even in control of the abandoned Ciro's Motel on Woodward, the place with those creepy effigies tied to the balcony railings. Check out Crain's Detroit for the latest facts and figures on the company's work in Palmer Park, or head to our map of the work Shelborne is doing on another dense architectural heaven: Seward Street.
