A new office tower might soon rise on Monroe Street. The 1.96-acre parking lot just across the street from the Compuware Building, commonly known as the Monroe Block, is the proposed site of a new $111M, 16-story office building. The official proposal by Schostak Bros Construction has yet to be unveiled, but we're told to expect ground floor retail and a 1000-space parking garage that "wraps around the Cadillac Tower." That's really all the info available right now, aside from the project's request for $27M in brownfield tax credits. Thursday's public hearing should provide some enlightenment.
