The Hults Looks Likely to Take Control of Packard Plant

New, 19 comments

Could it be? The Chicago developer known as The Hults is apparently close to buying the infamous Packard Plant for $1M. For real! Wayne County Deputy Treasurer David Szymanski confirms that the deal is likely to go through, giving Hults control of the 3,500,000 sq/ft of lawless industrial space. In that nurturing cocoon is where Hults plans to create the "Villages of Packard," a residential development. Retail, a movie theatre, parks, restaurants, and essentially every amenity imaginable has been casually mentioned as part of the plan. But what comes first? A coffee shop in the Packard bridge, of course, from which you can watch The Hults save Detroit.
