Behold! Here's a new rendering of what the David Whitney Building will look like once renovations and an apartment/hotel conversion finish up later this year. Gaze upon Whitney's restored cornice, which mimics the building's original cornice lost during the 1950s. Notice the Aloft Hotel sign down below the Grand Circus People Mover station, which, by the way, is reconnected to the Whitney's interior in this not-so-distant future. The $86M project is 40-45% finished, and is on track to finish up in the second half of 2014.
