Former Archdiocese Print Shop in Corktown Sold for $210K

New, 13 comments

On the corner of Sixth Street and Labrosse, this anonymous little building in Corktown once belonged to the Archdiocese of Detroit. It functioned as the organization's print shop until last May, when it was the tiniest building offloaded in the Archdiocese Real Estate Clearance Sale.
According to a recent article from Model D, the building was purchased by GTS Direct, a St. Clair Shores-based telecommunications company that was looking to relocate to Detroit. Paying just $210K, they now have a 10,000-square-foot office in Corktown within two blocks of Mudgie's, PJ's Lager House, Detroit Institute of Bagels, and Brooklyn Street Local. Expect minor renovations in the future.
