Blight Authority Secretly Plans Another 2 Demo Projects

After massive demolition projects in theBrightmoor and Eastern Market areas, the Detroit Blight Authority (DBA) has declared that two new target zones are in the works. As per tradition, the DBA refuses to disclose what neighborhoods are next to be flattened, or when exactly that might happen. Those minor details might be revealed in a press conference on Monday, but no guarantees. According to Crain's, the DBA is done clearing all "non-structural" blight from its previous target zone in Brightmoor, but the final 67 houses won't be torn down until early summer.
