NAIAS Where To Eat Guides; Local's New Chef; Detroit's Most Anticipated 2014 Opening; More

FERNDALELocal Kitchen & Bar, the Ferndale restaurant run by Chef/Owner Rick Halberg, has brought on a new executive chef, Jeremy Kalmus. He's already hard at work, and is expected to be making menu changes soon.

DETROIT/METRO DETROIT— Prominent food writer Nicole Rupersburg, who wrote for many local publications including her blog Eat It Detroit, has moved to Las Vegas, leaving the fate of her blog in jeopardy. She has yet to make a decision on whether or not the blog will continue under someone else.

DETROIT— The North American International Auto Show is in town, and along with the cars come a slew of press, visitors, and auto company reps.
