Spanish developer Fernando Palazuelo and the Packard Plant are officially an item. Wayne County issued a deed transferring the property to Fernando earlier this week. "The sale has taken place and been consummated," said Wayne County's David Szymanski.
Awkward phrasing aside, David is right: Having paid $405K, Fernando is the new Packard Master. Following in the footsteps of previous Packard Master/convicted drug dealer Dominic Cristini, Fernando will attempt to live somewhere on the crumbling property. His goal is to move in by April 9, his 59th birthday. We'll consider it a scandal if no one bakes him a Packard-themed birthday cake.
