Jefferson Avenue's 7-Eleven Hints at a Late January Debut

New, 18 comments

Is Detroit mere weeks away from its first 7-Eleven location in nearly two decades? That's the word from 7-Eleven's Twitter account, which hinted that the company's Jefferson Avenue location could be open by the end of January.

That initial tweet comes from Eric Lacy at MLive, who noticed a 'Coming Soon!" sign in the window of 2660 East Jefferson. This store and another location in Cadillac Square were both originally scheduled to open last summer. Despite plenty of hype (which included an appearance by the fabled Slurpee Truck), both remain dark. Is 7-Eleven's tweet the real deal?
