Live Below a Roof Deck, Above a Coffee Shop at the Beethoven

New, 5 comments

The Beethoven Apartments have a 2 bedroom/2 bathroom apartment up for grabs. This unit is one of the building's better layouts, with the enclosed front balcony/porch and 1,000 square feet. There are several perks to living at the Beethoven—the roof deck overlooking Midtown is spectacular, and a quiet coffee shop on the ground floor is the dream of most urban residents.
That being said, let us remember the radically different Beethoven of the early-2000s. Before renovation began in 2006/2007, the blighted, windowless building was known as one of Midtown's most bustling drug houses. Next time you're at the apartments or Bottom Line Coffee, it's worth imagining just how different things were less than a decade ago. Check out the gallery for a pre-renovation pic.
