$49K: Gloomy Home in West Village Has a Silver Lining

New, 2 comments

House hunting in the West Village? Asking $49,500, this historic three-bedroom on Seyburn Street might have potential. The house needs a major renovation, but the roof (new) and windows (restored or new) have already been taken care of. The dreary grey exterior paint is actually covering up three different materials: a creamy brick on the bottom, stucco upstairs, and shingle on top. Exposing some of that would do a world of good.
The listing doesn't elaborate on the interior situation (other than 1,650 SF and 1.5 bathrooms), but we're thinking that a house built in 1912 might have some character.
