Serious renovation activity has been spotted at 711 W. Alexandrine, a '20s-era apartment building that fetched $535k last March. The ownership has yet to comment on the project, but the Invest Detroit Fund seems to be in the know. They're saying that the building original setup--56 teeny apartments--will be opened up into 35 one-bedroom units renting at market rate. No word on potential street-level storefronts, and we might not know for a while. The building isn't expected to reopen until late 2015.
NOTE: A commenter claims this building is called Rainier Court. Can anyone confirm?
