$175K: Gaze at Detroit's Emptiness From this Historic Condo

New, 5 comments

Living near the heart of Detroit can feel pretty spacious. With hardly a building in sight, the views from this $175K condo near Midtown are downright pastoral. In reality, the condo simply overlooks two empty blocks backing up to I-94, but it's still rather peaceful. Two bedrooms and one bathroom are inside.
Built in 1912, the brick building looks almost indestructible. The interior isn't massive (1,000 square feet), but it does include a sleek kitchen and a boatload of personality. In addition to the front porch overlooking the grasslands, you get another (private) perch overlooking the parking lot out back.
