Mega-Church Called Out For Its Sizable Blight Collection

New, 6 comments

The 5,000-seat Perfecting Church has been a construction site for nearly 13 years, with spurts of work completed as cash is raised. In the shadow of that construction quagmire is the Chaldean Town/Penrose neighborhood, a mixture of vacant lots, blighted homes, and a surprising amount of new construction.
Channel 7 reporter Ronnie Dahl makes (yells) the interesting point that the church lays claim to not only to several blighted homes in the neighborhood, but roughly 400 parcels across the city. Check out Channel 7's report on their website, or watch the above video for a drone cam tour of the construction site and nearby blight.
