Up to $4M in upgrades are coming to the dilapidated Town Apartments tower, but many of the current residents might not stick around long enough to enjoy them. Several residents told MLive that they're being forced to hit the road, since Triton Properties (the building's new ownership) doesn't accept Section 8 vouchers. Triton denied that anyone is being asked to leave, only that no new residents with vouchers are being accepted. Go figure. The plan calls for renovating common areas and nearly all of the building's 255 apartments, most of which are currently empty.
