In just a few years, West Village went from pleasantly desirable to downright trendy. It has its own independent coffee joint, an organic grocer, a record store, and is scheduled to see the opening of a pie shop. Even so, one of the neighborhood's most stately and centrally-located apartment buildings can still be bought for the price of a suburban McMansion.
Built in 1924 on the corner of Agnes and Van Dyke, the Van Dyke Apartments overlook many of the aforementioned businesses. The building contains 8 one-bedroom and 8 two-bedroom apartments; those in front come with fireplaces and great windows.
