University of Michigan Opens Architecture Studio on Woodward

New, 4 comments

The yellowish facade at 3901 Woodward isn't quite maize, but the University of Michigan doesn't seem to mind. Yesterday, UM's Taubman College of Architecture and Urban Planning opened a 3,700-square-foot studio on the building's ground floor. Known as the Michigan Research Studio, the space is part of a partnership between UM and DPS helping to prepare high school students for careers in architecture. Also of note: the storefront next door is rapidly becoming a Flagstar Bank, which had been snooping for a spot in Midtown for years.
