Marwil Bookstore went out of business in 2013, but its old storefront—located on the busy corner of Warren and Cass—won't be dark much longer. Renovations are underway to convert the spot into Sweet Lorraine's, a mac n' cheese joint, which plans to open in late February. Model D reports that linoleum flooring and drop ceiling panels have been torn out to reveal the original terrazzo floor and wooden ceiling beams. Outside, keep an eye out for new paint and bigger windows. Model D has a rendering and glimpse of the interior at the link below.
