Grab a three-bedroom cottage on the grassy plains of North Corktown, now rentable for $900/month. We don't get to see much of the "restored" interior, but hardwood floors and green walls definitely trump the beige carpet/paint combo common in rentals. North Corktown can feel a bit empty in the winter, but few places have a bigger payoff come spring.
The neighborhood is full of gardens and greenery and you can walk/bike just about anywhere (Corktown is 4 blocks south, Nancy Whiskey is even closer). Plus, that deck and backyard will make for an unbeatable barbecue venue.
