Fenced-off over a year ago, Redmond Plaza is finally on the verge of seeing some attention. Bridge Magazine reports that the tiny park will see a $250K facelift courtesy of Midtown Detroit Inc, which is also building another green alley a few steps away. The Redmond plan will add new lighting, prune the trees, erase graffiti, and "reinstate fixtures" by May 2015. Virtual Motor City has an interesting shot of the park's gazebo being installed in 1979, while CityLiterate has the sad story of the park's namesake at the link below.
