Few would recommend living in Detroit without a car, but the Canfield Lofts are perched above enough food/retail options to keep driving to a minimum. Overlooking Motor City Brewing Works, this cavernous loft just hit the market asking a hefty $230K. It stretches out for 1,059 square feet and hides a single bedroom through sliding doors behind the kitchen.

There are a few downsides. Considering the price, the kitchen and bathroom are pretty blah. The lack of balcony found in other units at West Canfield is a bummer. Then again, the brewery just outside would probably be happy to let you lounge on theirs.
