One Year Later, LTU Building Begins to Resemble Renderings

New, 12 comments

When the Lawrence Tech Design Center broke ground, the corner of Woodward and Willis was a grassy lot where discarded Egg McMuffin wrappers rustled peacefully in the breeze. One year later, the $7M project has reached a milestone: the building now vaguely resembles its renderings.

In September, we were told that major construction was scheduled to wrap up in January, at which point tenants like Quinn Evans Architects and Invest Detroit could build out their respective interior spaces. The 30,000-square-foot block is making rapid progress, but January looks like a stretch at this point. If anyone has info on a possible restaurant space on the first floor, do find us on the tipline.
