Drama! On Monday night, the Grosse Pointe Park City Council reaffirmed its commitment to maintain the scandalous sheds blocking Kercheval Road (and therefore, Detroit). Councilman David Clark, the sassiest of the bunch, said that GPP might eventually open the road "but its not going to be soon."
Keeping the barricade indefinitely goes against the peace treaty between Mayor Duggan and Mayor Heenan, which promised a shed-free road by October in exchange for Detroit clearing a bunch of blight near the city border. Progress on that front is said to be ongoing, though also appears incomplete.
