Midtown's new street clock was nailed by a tagger over the weekend, meaning it was on the street less than 48 hours before getting tagged. But this tagging is not quite the scandal it seems to be. First, the graffiti had been removed by Sunday. It's a safe assumption that Shinola anticipated that its well-publicized pieces of street furniture might attract a few assholes. Secondly, the Detroit News has referred to this corner (Cass/West Canfield) as a future dog park. That's news to us. If true, Midtown's pooches will be misting this clock pretty regularly with tags of their own.
