New, 17 comments

Vacant for 40 years, the ruined James Scott Mansion in the Cass Corrridor finally has a decent shot at restoration. According to MLive, the developer Joel Landy is "99 percent certain" that he'll be able to rebuilt the 137-year-old structure into 25 condos, with work starting as soon as this summer. Landy, the developer behind several major historic restorations in the area, has reportedly assembled $2.6 million in tax credits for the project. He estimates the overall price tag will be around $7M.
