This Old Rivertown Garage Deserves to be a Bar/Restaurant

New, 4 comments

If $55M in townhouses and apartments really do appear in Rivertown, the new residents probably wouldn't mind a few walkable amenities, like a small grocery store or a restaurant. With that in mind, let us suggest this weathered garage on Woodbridge Street as a perfect candidate for renovation.
Built in 1920, the garage's simple design exudes the neighborhood's old industrial vibe. Because their giant doors can be replaced with glass, similar buildings have been converted to just about anything—just ask Vinsetta Garage. This one has 3,500 square feet and additional windows on the side wall. The current owners want $750K, but don't let some optimistic price inflation scare you off. They grabbed the building for cheap as part of a larger deal last summer. Expect some flexibility.
