The Milner Hotel's conversion into The Ashley apartments may have hit a snag. The building caught fire earlier this afternoon, though no one was hurt. These photos were emailed by a tipster, who says that workers on site were being "lectured by DFD personnel for lack of fire safety sprinklers in building which are required when welding." No word yet on overall damage. The News has a photo that looks pretty smoky, while MLive has a quote from DFD claiming that the fire was contained to the first floor. Keep in mind, the building is also the future home of donut shop Dilla's Delights. If you have any info or updates, please hit us at the tipline.
