If you ever want to live in the Mies van der Rohe-designed townhouses of Lafayette Park, you had better be ready to pounce at the next availability. Asking a lofty $149,900, the listing we posted last week is already gone. It sold in just a single day. Not only that, but the owners reportedly accepted an offer higher than the initial ask. "As far as I know...it will be the most expensive townhouse to ever sell in the development," broker Ryan Cooley told Architect, the magazine of the AIA. Remember the good ol' days (2012), when a slice of Mies could be bought for less than $100K?
