Mysterious Men Tickle Metropolitan Building via Crane

New, 12 comments

Downtown's champion brick-dropper, the Metropolitan Building, is the site of some curious activity. Using a large crane, a bunch of workers have been inspecting the high reaches of Metropolitan's facade since early Tuesday morning, closing off John R entirely. What exactly they're up to remains unclear. According to a nearby worker, the activity is in response to the Metropolitan's truck-smashing tendencies.
Whether they're testing for loose bricks, conducting repairs, or looking for the best bird's nest (there are a lot of them) is unknown. But something is definitely up. If you manage to get an answer, please find us on the tipline.
