DETROIT/METRO DETROIT— Metro Detroit's 10 Best Patios as chosen by Eater Detroit readers have been mapped, so pick one off the list and enjoy a sunny lunch or balmy evening on an expansive terrace, sidewalk patio, or lush secret garden while the weather is still perfect.
DETROIT— Jack's Coney Island on 7 mile completely exploded early on Monday morning, leaving nothing but charred wood and twisted metal behind. Still no news on if they're reopening in a new location or rebuilding, but as the business was for sale on Trulia for the past 6 months or more, it seems unlikely.
CORKTOWN— Two James has no kitchen, but they're partnering with chef Brad Greenhill of Righteous Rojo for his new food truck project Katoi to bring Thai food to their patrons this month. They will have takeout, outdoor, and indoor table service all summer from Wednesday though Saturday with plenty of BBQ, curry, noodles, and local produce to keep the hunger at bay while Two James keeps the local booze flowing.
DETROIT— Phrosties, the illegal but oh so popular and supposedly delicious frozen mixtures of sugar, food coloring, and grain alcohol sold in NYC on Instagram are supposedly coming to Detroit according to a new Instagram account. They're supposed to be for folks 21+ (selling to minors contributed to the NYC Phrosties shut down) and they'll be delivered straight to customers doors sometime this summer.
